End of May Events

Well, I'm officially an alumnus of my high school.  That sounds weird, so I don't like to say it.  I think Mama looks plain giddy in this family photo after the ceremony. :)
Grandmommy and me after the ceremony!
Right after my graduation, we rushed down the road to the next town over where Trent was graduating.  I really like this picture of us.  He is so handsome. :)
On the far right is the church youth director, Keith (and his wife Laurie on the far left).  They work so diligently for God and do so much that goes unnoticed.  Keith and Laurie prepared a YUMMY dinner for us grads and our families.  From left to right:  Laurie, Trent, Hannah, Michael, Carter, Keith.

Last Friday was my last day at the daycare.  They had summer workers returning, and I suspected my hours would be cut and I would be moved to another class.  Plus, gas for my old Ford is getting outrageous.  So, I'm just babysitting around town for the summer.  I'm really going to miss my kiddos from the daycare...

Today Trent took me on a date.  :)  I may have mentioned before that Trent speaks one Sunday out of the month at a small congregation out in the country.  It's a beautiful ride out there, and there is a nice grassy area behind the building where the church meets.  We had a nice drive out there, a picnic, and we enjoyed reading our Bibles & talking in the peaceful setting:
We are so blessed to live in this place.  The freedom that I have to enjoy such a peaceful hometown, worship my God publicly, and live with such abundant blessings is one that I am thankful for, especially today.  Though I am joyfully and eternally a slave of righteousness to God, I am also free to live a life of service for Him here without fear because of many men and women.  I can hardly comprehend their drive, love, bravery, and dedication.  God bless them and their families.  Happy Memorial Day, everyone.

  2. Congratulations, graduate :) What a testimony to all your hard work! Hope your speech went great that night! You are glowing from the inside out, you look so happy! So does your family. The pictures of you and Trent are sweet, and the picnic looks like it was definitely a peaceful activity after all the graduation buzz :)

  3. I love all your pictures-- they're happy. :)

And even though I'm sure you've got a lot of stuff on your plate right now (I remember what it was like graduating last year), you seem very centered and content. It's wonderful how God is enabling you to stay focused on Him and the many blessings He gives.

Congratulations, honey! :) And thanks for another great post!

  4. Thank you for your encouraging words everyone.

Kacie, yes, my speech went well! I got choked up when I started talking about my Dad, but it wasn't too bad. God gave me a peace about getting up there in front of everyone (and I had been praying for it for a month!) ;)
