Blogger Blessings

We were out of school on Dec. 13-15 (snow), Dec. 20-31 (Christmas Break), Jan. 10-13 (more snow), AND we're out Jan. 17 for Martin Luther King, Jr. day.  I'm not complaining AT ALL. :)

Although my time out has been spent on school work (a paper, sketchbook, scholarships, etc.), I have enjoyed it.  God knew I was getting overwhelmed.  (I get overwhelmed a lot, which shouldn't happen with such a mighty Father.  This is my fault.)  As a remedy, I've been trying very hard to keep my eyes, mind, and heart open to God, His Word, and His hand full of blessings in my life.  One such blessing that I know His hand is in?  Blogger.

You know on your profile how you can list your favorite books, movies, etc.?  One day several months ago, I discovered that if I click on one, it will take me to a page of users that also mentioned that same item.  Very neat.  Now, when I made my blog, my goal was to encourage young women and ladies in the Lord, and receive that encouragement, too, from their blogs.  I knew a few women who blogged, but I still had a longing for that encouragement from teen or young women bloggers who loved Christ.  I needed to relate.  I clicked on "The Holy Bible" that I had listed under my favorite books, and searched pages and pages, trying to find a couple of young women's blogs that I could read and receive encouragement from.  Congratulations, Kacie and Lauren. ;)

So many "coincidences" have come from reading their writings, that I confidently say it is not coincidence.  Although I don't know them personally, God daily uses their blogs to remind me that He is so good!  That I, as a young woman trying to follow and please Christ, am certainly not alone!  I am continually challenged and uplifted, filled with joy and often laugh.

"O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your strong hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as Yours?" -Deuteronomy 3:24

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." -Ephesians 3:20-21

  1. I still remember the first time you commented on one of my posts... I was so excited to 'meet' you. :)

And I have to say that it definitely goes both ways-- you have uplifted and encouraged me; I have had many smiles and laughs thanks to the thoughts you've shared.

    God IS good!

  2. Hannah-
Christ is working powerfully through you, and your blog. What I enjoy most about you is how dedicated you remain to Him, how sincere you are about Him. I respect you so much as a sister in Christ and words can't explain how appreciative I was to read your words. You are absolutely correct...the Lord has His hand in this blogging stuff and I love seeing Him glorified through it all! Most of all, I am so thankful to have met such a sincere, humble, and truly inspirational person who writes for the Lord with her whole heart. Thanks for being a blessing!!! Thank you!, Thank you!
